She has taught business at National Business College, Patrick County High School, George Washington High School, and retired in 2015 after 16 years of service as an assistant professor of Administrative Support Technology at Danville Community College.

She was married to the late Bishop Christopher A. Carter for almost 37 years and they are the proud parents of two sons; Devan who lives in Tazewell, Tennessee and Darius who resides in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. They both serve as university basketball coaches. She is now happily married to Bro. Luke Galloway and resides in our homes in Reidsville, North Carolina and Cascade, Virginia. She has two bonus daughters, Kisha Pinnix and Amy Corley and a bonus son, Luke Galloway, Jr.

Co-Founder Fran’s roots in the church run deep. She has loved the Lord and the church since childhood. She was reared at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Cascade, Virginia where Pastor Otis Chestnut and the late Rev. Dr. John W. Tinsley served as her pastors. As a child, she loved singing and would sing in the church choir as a child and perform solo concerts at five years old with her mother serving as her piano accompanist. Music continues to be her calling as she frequently renders solos at her church and area churches and sings in the church choir and Southside Regional Celebrate Choir. She regularly teaches bible study and truly enjoys studying and teaching the Word of God. She has spoken on several occasions at various women’s conferences at different churches.

She has often been called to counsel and provide support for those in need of encouragement. Sis. Fran sees herself as a servant to God and others. She has embraced many sons and daughters in the ministry with God’s guidance.

Co-Founder feels that today’s women must realize the love that God has for them, and they must have for themselves. We must realize our value in God’s eyes, and we must not rely on the opinions and values others attach to us. People don’t validate us; God does!

Since the death of our founder, Bishop Christopher Carter, Co-Founder has learned so much about herself and others. God is truly doing a work through and in her and grooming her for the destiny He has in store. Through her trust in the Lord and her no-quit determination, she anxiously looks forward to what God has in store for United in Christ Ministries. Through Christ who strengthens her, she will continue to stay the course and keep the faith!

Her favorite scriptures are:

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

I can do All Things through Christ who strengthens me! Philippians 4:13

Recent revelation from God:

God help me see others for who they are but help me not to get stuck in what I see. Help me to see me how you see me and not how others see me. I will see with your eyes and not mine.
